I bet you are wondering what Lobsters in a funny looking tank have to do with PREDATORS???
Well, I’ve been around long enough to know that regardless of what someone else might consider a predator that you probably have now, you probably will have in the future, or you have had in the past a “Predator” of sorts that TRIED to hold you down, debate your thoughts/way of life, or just been a negative nelly in your life-THAT MY FRIEND IS A PREDATOR.
I heard this story told to me this week…a young Entrepreneur was always trying to do well for his family because mentally he is unemployable. Although to many this sounds awesome, those of us who believe in entrepreneurship, his wife did not…Yet every time the husband made money his wife would spend it like there was an endless supply of it, then complain that he should get a “real” job.
The husband has not stopped yet, he loves his wife unconditionally and tried to educate her on where wealth is created-not in a job by the way-if wealth is your focus-it’s always been in business.
At any rate while I was sitting there listening this Multi-Millinaire began to tell the story of the “Predator.” He said that in stores where they were selling Lobsters, they would put bands around all the claws and for whatever reason this made the lobsters really docile, they almost looked dead, so no one wanted to buy them…so they came up with the idea that they would keep all but one tied up with the bands-ie. the PREDATOR. The Predator would keep all the other Lobsters on the move-if it weren’t for the Predator the other Lobsters would lie dormant.
So maybe next time you have someone in your life who’s not totally on board with you, what you stand for, what you are doing, etc…just look at them as your Lobster Predator to catapult you to success in WHATEVER area of life and share your story along the way.
So many of us are afraid to share, but there is someone out there who will relate…So tomorrow I shall share with you my story that fits along with one of the biggest life changes I have made and how it relates to the Preditor Story…it will be called My “Preditor”. Stay Tuned
